Product Description DAP High Heat Fire Resistant Mortar is a non-combustible silicate cement for applications in wood frame construction where an ASTM E136 non-combustible sealant is required, such as filling around vents, pipes, ducts and chimneys at ceiling and/or floor level prior to the application of drywall products. It was tested in accordance with ASTM E136 and withstands temperatures up to 2000 degrees Fahrenheit. It can also be used to patch chipped or cracked firebrick in fireplaces or wood-burning stoves. Adheres firmly to firebrick when wet or dry and sets rock hard when fired. Easy water clean-up. Works for interior uses.
